The darbuka, a fundamental percussion instrument in Arabic music, is usually played while tucked under one arm and is popular across Egypt, West & south Asia, North Africa, and Eastern Europe.
The Darbuka produces sharp, high-pitched snaps, along with a diverse range of articulated doum and tak strokes.
