Join us for the first ever full north island Bana Kuma Camp!

Set in the pristine location of MiCamp Whakamaru, an Island surrounded by the waters of Lake Whakamaru fed by the might Waikato river, This will be a drum and dance camp like no other!

Using the power of drum and dance, this four day retreat will support you in the manifestation of your divine creative energy by embodying universal wisdom expressed in music and dance arrangements. This unique experience will be enabled by legendary composer, multi-instrumentalist, dancer and medium Chris Berry,

Over the course of the retreat, Chris will guide us in African inspired musical arrangements, songs, dances, and stories that resonate with forces of the natural world. Using the elements and archetypes of earth, water, fire, and air to represent the process of manifestation, and tap into our subconscious processes that hinder or enable the creative flow that Chris refers to as Bana Kuma (literally meaning sacred altering, or the process by which thoughts become reality). This will culminate in a drum and dance ceremony on the Sunday night intended to empower the personal intentions of all who contribute their energy. No previous drumming or dancing experience is necessary
